Getting around

The navigation

The sidebar is your map. Everyone sees:

• Home — your landing page (see below).
• Calendar — every event, in several views you can narrow with filters. Select an event to see its details.
• Rooms — the venue's rooms and room types.
• Teams — the teams at your venue and who's on them.

Admins also see an Admin section with Event types, Users, Approvals, and Audit log — event types, user management, the approvals queue, and the audit log.

Some places open a second column beside the sidebar rather than pushing the page across: the main icons narrow and the list you need appears next to them. Roles and Settings work this way, and so does an event — open one and its parts (Basics, Schedule, Sales, People) list beside the Calendar icon, which stays lit as your way back out. On a narrow screen there is no second column: you get the list first and tap through, with a link back at the top.

The Home page

Home shows who you're signed in as and your role. If you're an Admin or Manager, a Pending Items panel appears whenever something needs attention:

• Override requests awaiting approval — Admins see every pending request and can jump to the approvals queue; Managers see their own — including a pending rebook request — and can withdraw any of them.
• Events needing a room — events displaced without a new home; open one to give it a room.

Admins see all pending items; Managers see only their own. A red dot on the sidebar marks where action is waiting, and it sits on the page where you can act: Home for events needing a room, and for your own override requests — Home is where you withdraw one; Approvals for requests waiting on your decision, if deciding them is yours to do. On a narrow screen, where the sidebar is tucked away, the dot sits on the menu button instead. Members won't see this panel.

Reserving a room

Admins and Managers have a Reserve Room button at the top of every page — it opens the reservation form right over your current page. See Reserve an event. Members don't have this button; they take part in events that Managers and Admins create.
